Message from
Mark Penn on Mon 20 Apr 2020 It has become quite evident over the weeks we have been in
operation, that there are plenty of people out there that need help but wont
ask. They have the means to pay and dont want free handouts. Some of these people are struggling to get shopping, but are too
proud to ask for our help. So we have an answer for them now. If they or anyone receives a free food care package, generally to
the value of about £20, we are now giving them the opportunity to donate a
contribution to the cost. We are not asking for payment from anyone, but a
discretionary contribution can be donated if it makes the person feel happier
to accept our help. We cannot be personal shoppers as our stock varies from day to day,
but we hope the packages go some way in helping. Thank you. Benfleet
Community Helpers Fund (PayPal Pool) Morrisons are generously donating £1,000 worth of food per week to
Benfleet Community Helpers but they need more if the service is to be
sustained. If you are able to help by making a monetary donation then that
would be very useful. A PayPal ‘Pool’ has been set up for a
Benfleet Community Helpers Fund to which donations can be made. You do not
need to have a PayPal account to donate. The link is as follows: |
